#Repeal Act 1999

Allahabad HC rules that vesting of land under the Urban Land Ceiling Act, 1976, does not survive repeal unless the State proves lawful de facto possession through mandatory Section 10(5) notice. The court restored possession to petitioners, holding the State failed to establish physical control despite alleged vesting.

Madhya Pradesh High Court rules that possession taken under the repealed Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1976 remains valid if not challenged within reasonable time, even if procedural lapses exist.
