The Madhya Pradesh High Court has ruled that only documents explicitly listed in the 2007 Women and Child Development circular-ration card, Gram Panchayat voter list, and BPL list-can prove local residence for Aanganwadi worker appointments. Aadhaar, Samagra ID, and Voter ID, though widely accepted elsewhere, cannot substitute these statutorily mandated proofs, reinforcing strict compliance in public employment selection.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has ruled that candidates eligible for BPL category benefits must be granted 10 marks in recruitment merit lists if their inclusion in the BPL list occurred before the advertisement date, regardless of when the physical card was issued. This sets a binding precedent for all state-run schemes involving social welfare-based reservations in public employment, ensuring procedural fairness over bureaucratic delays.
